Friday, March 15, 2013, 10:00PM-4:00 AM
Club Quest, 27 Park Place, New York, NY 10007

On March 15th, leave behind the urban jungle of NYC and come on an adventure SAFARI with Bubbles and Bass. We'll take you deep on a journey into the wild African jungle, where the wild roam free and anything is possible. Two bass-tastic rooms, five smoking hot DJ’s (with more to come), mind-blowing performances, authentic and amplified African décor all equaling one unforgettable wild ride!
You'll forget you're in Tribeca and think you're tripping through Africa when you enter Bubbles and Bass's SAFARI. We're creating a magical space packed with magical trees, exotic flowers, vines and sprouting plants that fall from the sky combined with spectacular visual projections. Painted bodies will pulsate to the house beats, this is going the most amazing adventure, brace yourselves for the wild SAFARI.

Become part of the SAFARI or a jungle native in your choice of attire: Tribal paints, feathers and headdresses, loin clothes and warrior chokers, bare bodies, torn leather and fur, wild cats and flamboyant birds, LED fireflies and beautiful butterflies. Come as a warrior god or an animal of the Jungle… or come as YOU ARE and we will take care of the rest!

We'll be bringing the bubbles with $7 drink specials all night long and the bass will be out in full force!!

*** DJ Pumpkin (Pocket Underground, LA) ***

For those of you that have not yet experienced the Pumpkin phenomenon you’re in for a treat! The L.A.-based DJ/producer, a.k.a. Nicholas Alvarado, is our very special guest! Pumpkin has been dazzling dance crowds in his native Los Angeles and at Lightning in a Bottle and Burning Man for years. "Electrorganic mood music for romance and espionage", "Lovesauce", "Bouncy Lovehop" and "Folktronica"; Pumpkin's style is truly unique and defies any conventional description.

Pumpkin is also the music producer and curator behind the Wandering Marionettes and their eclectic event, Kabinet Theatre, as well as a member of the famed Los Angeles collective POCKET Underground. By embracing all moods and genres, Pumpkin's remixes and DJ sets have been known to inspire lust, love and laughter. Tactfully walking the thin line between hip-grinding rhythms and bittersweet lyrical melodies, Pumpkin truly loves every song he shares with the dancefloor.

*** Davidson Ospina ***
https://soundcloud.com/davidson-ospina
Bubbles and Bass's home DJ, Ospina says "The DJing keeps me fresh, and helps me see what directions the crowds are moving. It's whatever is exciting to them directly. I work at building an uplifting energy that gets more and more intense; that will keep the dance floor happy." Ospina comes through just when the crowd needs and even demands it the most. Ospina creates deep, funky, sweaty soul House music; he creates frenzied crowds by lifting their sweaty souls up from the depths of his hard-boiled and burning funk. People are left with a lasting but infectious experience; a night they never knew could be so, so good. He knows how to drop on the crowd just what they need, the reason why they came out in the first place, a need to be soaked in joy: that feeling we all need, especially now.

*** Phil Johnson ***
https://soundcloud.com/chefboy28
New York based Phil Johnson first realized his passion for electronic music in the late 90’s during the age of the Tunnel, Limelight, the Roxy, and Twilo.  One of his first productions, a remix of Eddie Amador’s Psycho-Ex Girlfriend, was released on Deep Dish’s Yoshtoshi Records in 2002. Other production work has been released on Toronto’s Release Records, the UK’s Global Underground Records, and Desyn Masielo’s Alternative Route Records, London.  He has rocked crowds at Sullivan Room, the HOY, and other east coast clubs and lounges and is excited to be a part of the Bubbles and Bass crew.

*** DJ Resy ***

"You know you're on to something good when you're playing stuff that moves people below the waist namely their feet & hindparts". - Zach Moore of SpaceCowboys
And DJ Resy is totally onto something good. When you hit the native burner's dancefloor, she's your house-hostess with the most-est playing the music we LIVE for at Bubbles and Bass!!

*** Bryan Winther ***
Bryan's skills developed from a love of music across the board: folk, rock, house, techno, and electronic music from around the world to his hometown of Westchester, PA. We first heard him DJing in a small basement rave in Ithaca in upstate new york and became enchanted instantly. Bryan's an avid traveler, he takes his passion for adventure and music around the world with him; he even hit up South Africa last year! We welcome him to NYC from Philly - Bryan's going to knock your loin clothes off with his house - funk - indie rock music blend.

And that's not all!

Aaron Hurvitz: his energy and love just oozes through the camera, let Aaron capture the magic of the night for you.
Always with a camera at his side, Aaron was once described as Ansel Adams on acid. The official camp documentarian, he's the  love child of Jim Henson and Rosie The Riveter. Constantly ready to lead the charge towards fun, Aaron can make a good time out of  anything, not that it's a struggle at Burning Man or Bubbles and Bass.
During muggle hours, he's a Location Scout, but his soul's profession is as a fun pusher. Aaron discovered his new lease and love of life while camping with Bubbles and Bass on his return visit to the playa in 2011. Aaron lives, sleeps, eats, breathes, and most importantly drinks Bubbles and Bass.

This is Bubbles and Bass first fundraiser for 2013, we are a 100% volunteer run art and music collective that brings the joy to Burning Man, PEX Summerfest, Transformus, Gratitude, and this year AFRIKABURN!! Proceeds will go towards gifting the Bubbles and the Bass to all these events in 2013. Please purchase your tickets at the highest tier that you can afford.
